Our organization firmly believes that climate education and action are essential in understanding the impact of human activity on the environment and are the basis for tangible social and ecological action.
In addition to our focus on climate education, we are dedicated to studying mycology. Fungi play a crucial role in maintaining the health of ecosystems, yet their importance is often overlooked. Through research and education, we aim to promote a greater understanding of the role of fungi in the natural world.
Child protection is another key area of our work. We believe that every child has the right to a safe and nurturing environment, free from harm and neglect. Our organization works to raise awareness of child protection issues and provide support to those in need.

We have three Executive Directors on the board of directors for Woodpeckers Initiative. Nagesh Anand, Prakash Kumar and Sneha Bhati. With a foundation built on diverse expertise ranging from environmental science, legal advocacy, and social work to cutting-edge mycology research, our team is adept at navigating complex challenges and driving impactful change. Our lawyers collective in Patna, leads strategic litigation with precision and determination. Meanwhile, our researchers and educators tirelessly promote scientific literacy and ecological awareness. United by a shared vision of sustainability and social justice, we continuously adapt, innovate, and persevere in our mission, demonstrating unwavering commitment and resilience in the face of adversity.
